Royal Decree 235/2013 approving the basic procedure for the certification of the energy efficiency of buildings , establishes the obligation to make available to buyers or users of the buildings, a certificate of efficiency energy that must include objective information about the energy efficiency of a building with so that the owners or tenants of the building can compare and evaluate their energy efficiency. If of existing buildings, the certificate of efficiency energy of the building must include a document of recommendations for improvement . These recommendations improvement will be technically feasible and may include a estimation of the recovery periods of the investment or profitability during its useful life cycle.
The new complement launched by the Saint – Gobain group offers solutions to certifying technicians at the moment to propose to the client these series of measures of improvement in the energy efficiency certificate of your building .
Explanatory note: Initially already there was a plugin from the portal of ISOVER , but the plugin update presented in the article corresponds to some improvements important that the technician must know for this 2016. The initial component was only based on the isolates of facade not including, example glazing. Once downloaded and integrated into the toolbar CE3X tools , we can see an interface simple and intuitive that will guide us to the most optimal solution. In this case, and taking a residential building as an example, you can see how the defined sets have been loaded manually by the user previously, through the application, and where a brief description of what each together with their respective qualification, in addition to the savings per year and increase in property value, expressed in euro.
These sets can be modified to include new solutions by selecting “Define Solution” and through of the plugin will configure a new set of improvement measures :
The user can then choose to define the solution through each element of the building to improve (Roofs, exterior walls, openings and floors) , or may opt for the Premium Solution offered by the complement, and which we will talk about later in this article.
The CE3X add-on allows the technician certifier navigate through different real solutions, with existing products on the market and the largest benefits for the entire building envelope. In the next screen, the technician can select as desired improve the building envelope (Insulation on the outside or inside) and depending on the selected option, the system automatically returns all possible products for such a solution:
We can see, by selecting one of the solutions, its description and advantages it offers. And when selecting the product, thanks to a series of pictograms that appear at the hand, we will know in a quick and visual way their main features.
But if we want to go further and get more information about the characteristics of the selected product, we will obtain it pressing the more information icon (+i), and even the software of the CE3X plugin returns the token product technique.
From the complement or plugin of the CE3X , allows you to define all the options for improving the complete building envelope , from facades, roofs, floors and also the glazed part in which we can select whether to replace only the glass or replace glass and frame:
On the other hand, and as previously mentioned, the plugin offers an option called “Solution Premium” (It's free). It analyzes the different possible scenarios based on the conditions of building design and outline defined above, to thus proposing the most optimal solution in a totally automated .
Another feature of the plugin “Saint-Gobain Solutions” is that the solutions that we generate, they will be automatically imported into the CE3X tool , and therefore when generating the Report official, the set of improvement measures will also appear that we have defined.
Regardless of the official report, the plugin allows the generation of a specific report of the measures of improvement proposed by the technician in a very visual way, with full information on the proposed solution, an example from the solution that throws:
