A new piece of news is standing out in all the media communication in favor of energy efficiency and energy savings in different sectors. From the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism have just announced which will proceed to allocate 168 million euros for a plan for efficiency and savings projects Energy through the Institute for Diversification and Saving of Energy (IDAE).
These lines of action are specified in different aid programs that have been approved by the Board of Directors of IDAE, the body that It will manage direct aid and financing support that have been articulated.
The programs are endowed with funds from the Fund National Energy Efficiency and General Budgets of the State (2015), and may be co-financed with the European Regional Development Fund (FEDER), in the Program Sustainable Development Operation before 2014 – 2015. Direct aid and support programs for approved funding are implemented under the National Plan of Action for Energy Efficiency between 2014 and 2020 (Other documents of interest HERE) that will allow Spain to meet the objectives savings derived from Directive 2012/27/UE. (This Directive obliges Member States to achieve a target of accumulated energy savings before December 31, 2020 which, in the case of Spain, has been calculated at 571 ktoe/year)
Four lines of action will be carried out:
It is estimated that the savings from these programs will be equivalent to the annual consumption of more than 150,000 families and will avoid the annual emission into the atmosphere of more than 440,000 tons of CO2.
Modification of this Aid Program for the Energy Rehabilitation of Buildings Existing to increase your budget and extend its scope to all buildings, whatever its employment, so that it becomes a engine of new comprehensive actions to improve the energy efficiency through reforms of the thermal envelope and installations consuming energy, such as by the use of renewable technologies thermal.
The corresponding budget for the enlargement is seventy-one five million euros from the PGE-2015 for the CRECE Plan, which will be added to the initial funds of the Program PAREER, which had one hundred and twenty-five million euro.
In an auxiliary way, the new aid program for energy rehabilitation of buildings (PAREER-CRECE) will produce new savings that will be added to precedents, with an essential sweeping effect on all and each of the fields of the Spanish economy.
In a complementary way, it is planned to articulate a program aimed at the buildings of the General Administration of the State, which is going to have an essential revitalizing effect on the economic activity.
Aid program (monetary delivery without consideration) addressed to companies for actions of modal change and more efficient use of means of transport, in which the implementation of plans will be eligible of transport for work in companies, the improvement of the administration of freight and passenger fleets and the teaching effective driving courses for automobiles industrial and commercial, with a budget of eight million of euros.
Aid program (monetary delivery without consideration) to facilitate the adoption of saving measures energy in SMEs and large companies in the field industry, in which each and every one of those actions that lead to an improvement of energy efficiency through the substitution of technologies and processes and the implementation of energy management, with a budget of 49 million euro.
Financing program in the loan modality returnable without interest, to facilitate the municipalities the renovation of the exterior lighting, with a budget of thirty-six million euros.
