This month the report "Green Employment" has been published where from the Enviroo portal, all published offers are analyzed throughout 2013 in Spanish territory and Latin American.
We want to add the generalized definition of green employment so that we are aware what are we talking about …. “They are the ones that reduce the impact environment of companies and economic sectors until eventually reach sustainable levels. It is understood by green jobs work in agriculture, industry, services and administration that contributes to conserving or restore environmental quality”
Data for the year 2013: (Although in the report it appears designated the image as “graph of green jobs by categories in Mexico" is in the Spain section, from what we understand which is from Spain, we have also verified it in other reference articles and the graph is for Spain).
To be able to compare we add the data of the year 2012.
As indicated in the report… “ in the year 2013, 24% more real offers were published on the Internet than in the year 2012 ” . So we can confirm that the current niche of work, which is broad, includes good job opportunities.
From the report we want to highlight several points with reference to Spain. Of the increasing sectors according to graphs and that we can clearly identify is that of the energy efficiency, consulting, water, biofuels and agriculture.
Against, the most disadvantaged that we can identify are; Photovoltaic solar energy, wind energy, solar thermal, biology. For the other categories they are more or less assimilable.
First than the labor market and its opportunities have changed from one year to the next , that is, that the Job demands by sectors are not stable. one year we can need many consultants (2012) and the following year (2013) the market is already crowded or it is no longer of interest.
Secondly, the area of efficiency energy is on the rise , either due to a need to savings (which is viable in the face of the crisis that affects us) or by "boom" in the face of a market that was not really exploited and that both at the level of Spain and outside the borders is being paying a lot of interest.
The decline of the labor market in energy clean, photovoltaic, solar…etc . assuming your cracking and sinking before the laws that all we know that they have been approved throughout and at the end of 2013 by through policies that are incomprehensible to both professionals from the sector as well as from the European Union, which paradoxically head in another direction, betting on the energies clean.
Another piece of information that seems curious to me is the rise of the agriculture sector, with more than 100% referring to the year 2012 . I hope some reader sheds more light on this topic, although it may be due to a rebound effect, given a crisis many families return to the "poble", to the roots where they try to recover and raise new businesses. (This approach in the province of Alicante is happening)
If we move to Latin America, there are three countries booming; Peru, Chile and Mexico, with opportunities interesting jobs . The sectors that are booming or highlight are environmental services to companies, the agriculture, biology, sustainability and CSR, and water.
